Hi all,

 

I found this site last night, and I think this i just such a wonderful project!

 

I'm 27 years old, and I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  I can knit and crochet, but I'm far more proficient at crocheting (which means I enjoy it more, too)!  I can't wait to develop square patterns for this project.  If I come up with anything decent, I'll be sharing with the community.

 

I look forward to connecting with many of you.  From what I can see, this is is quite a tight-knit (pun intended) community.

    Yay, another Canadian and YAY another crocheter! I live in Newmarket and work in Toronto. Welcome to KAS, Deanna. I hope you enjoy your stay! Post some photos of your work when you get the chance so we can "ooh" and "aah".

      I will have to start posting some of my non-KAS projects, for sure!  Maybe I'll do that this evening.

       

      Thank you for the welcome!  I can already tell that this is my type of place.  Knitters and crocheters with an eye towards helping others.  How can you go wrong?

    Lovely to have you with us Deanna. It's certainly a very friendly and supportive community and I am sure that you will make friends all over the world, all committed to the same cause - helping to warm sick and sad children, both physically and emotionally.

      Thanks!  So far, I have only done simple, double crochet squares with leftover yarn from other projects.  I also re-read  my initial post, and I don't know why I said I'm 27, I'm actually 26 (not that it really matters).

       

      I will be posting some of my work soon enough, I imagine.  Just need to dig out the camera!
