We are sure you will all be delighted that we were joined last night on the forum by two very special KAS people, Lindiwe and Wandile. Most of you will know them well from the tireless work they do for KAS and the children in Soweto.
Lindi and Wandi do not have access to the internet where they live. When they take a break from opening and sorting the squares at Ronda's home (and they may have to be encouraged to take a break as Wandi says, it is addictive work), they are keen to get to know you all.
We are sure that you would want to use this opportunity to talk to both of them about the fantastic work they do, finding children and creches, organising sewing groups and distributing the blankets on your behalf.

If you go to the recent wonderful ezine Anneke, there is a photo and paragraph of Lindiwe & Wandile - you find some news. As ever they are right in the thick of KAS.
I wonder, how are Lindiwe and Wandile doing???? Still going strong? Please send them my love and a big hug. Anneke
Hi Lindiwe and Wandile, Thank you so much for all the work you do for the children (and Ronda of course). It must be a big task to find children and creches, to make people enthousiastic for sewing, I really appreciate it and I am convinced that our squares, blankets, garments, hats and toys are in good hands. :-) BIG HUG, Anneke
Hi, Lindi and Wandi!
I'm so glad to get this opportunity to tell you how much I admire your hard work and dedication. I recently learned that you two go out into the almost inaccessible wilderness areas and locate creches and other child care facilities that need KAS's help. What a difficult job, physically, logistically, and also emotionally! I thank you so much for undertaking it! Those of us who knit/crochet in comfortable homes and only have to worry about easy issues like yarn costs, postal regulations and postage, truly, TRULY respect and admire your hands-on work. Thank you!
Thank you for joining the forum! We sure appreciate the work you do in South Africa, and I think I speak for others when I say I would gladly give you a hand, but I live in Italy, a little too far away!
Best!
Mary
Hello! Just want to say you're incredible, fantastic, amazing, inspiring women.
