We have an office again!
Thanks to our members prayers and generosity we have these lovely clean and modern offices to work from!
The volunteer team turn up each week to sort your squares, hand warmers, tops, hats and cuddlies so that more and more vulnerable and deprived children are given a sense that they are valued and cared for!

The team is going to be very busy ! I think the torn parcel on the top right is one of mine. I pack the squares in a reusable shopping bag before wrapping in brown paper....the bag seems fine.

The school holidays have started in SA, therefore, the team had 6 children aged 8-12 pitching in with opening the parcels! There was Erin with Ronda's two eldest grandchildren, Daniel and Hannah. Erin's neighbour Michelle with her two, Jordan (a girl) and Josh. Another of Erin's friends, Karen and her son Dylan whose 8th birthday was that day. And finally Lindi's 8 year old niece Nospho!
The team were also celebrating Wandi's birthday (Monday 8th) and she kindly agreed to "share" her cake with Dylan .... and it worked out specially well after our trying to think how we could combine Wandi's 62 years with Dylan's 8 .... and we came up with the solution of adding Wandi's 6+2 = Dylan's 8 and put 8 candles on the cake which kinda worked for them both !!
Then they discovered, after all, that they had no means to LIGHT the candles, so there was no need for them anyway, but it gave everyone a laugh and they all sang Happy Birthday to them both with great gusto! [Ronda mentioned it is so hard to find a smoker these days and borrow a match or lighter!]
Sadly, this lovely parcel from Canada has arrived crushed due to the postal strike, unfortunately the team were not able salvage the name of the sender, hopefully someone will recognise their kind contribution!

Thanks Bev, it was actually a special day: my family and I spent the whole day at a seaside resort, enjoyed the sun and admired the town Christmas tree decorated in a very elegant way by a local knitting group called "Un mare di lana". Have a look at it on Facebook, it's very nice. Bye
