Thank you ever so much for the information!I don't quite know what 8ply means,as I live in Germany.I used two strands of yarn and cast on 35stitches with 4mm knitting needles. It seems to be working for a regular square. Will also try your diagonal square:-)
You were concerned about the arrival of your parcel and I have just noticed this photo amongst the last batch I received. I haven't been able to match it to a particular blanket at present but at least something has arrived safely. I'll let you know if I find anything else,
Hi Susanne. I see you have already caught up with the news that Ronda wants those of us in the forum to join the squares as they are overwhelmed with squares to join. I have been crocheting them together as it suits me. I put a demo photo on the forum. I lay out 10 and then hold them back to back and crochet a continuous join across the five meeting sides. I have also decided to knit five in one go i.e. knitting a strip. The tails are good for sewing together. I took my off 35 squares worth of tails and knitted 18 fish to add on. Maudie
Hi Susan :) I hope you enjoyed your short stay in Holland, unfortunately the weather was grey and cold. Also I heard that there was a dance festival and a marathon in Amsterdam this weekend, so I hope it was not too overcrowded :))
Next time you visit Holland we hopefully can meet, eat and chat and there is a lot more to see in my tiny country :)
Wish you a good flight to Milan, speak soon, take care.
Hi Susan, I hope you receive this message. It should be great to meet! A lovely surprise that you are in Amsterdam! I live at about 24 miles from Amsterdam. Till when are you here? Where, when can we meet? Anneke :)
Wow, Susanne....I just can't keep up with your comings and goings....lol.....but, good on ya'.....you must surely never get bored and its lovely to spend time with family. :))

Hmmm, I'm not sure what the problem would be. Diana commented, as did I, and it seemed fine. Perhaps Ning was acting up. Could you try again?

Hello Susanne!
I really like your squares as they look so neat and even.
Could you please tell me how many stitches you cast on for a plain jane?
Also I would like to know how you knit your diagonal squares?
Thank you!
Rachel
I just found the picture - Bits and Bobs blanket No 13 has arrived safely. Be posting the photograph in a few days ...
