Thank you Wandi for taking these lovely photos of the children and Amy for sharing them with us.
It’s always with mixed feelings that I view photos like these........ it’s heart warming to see the children wrapped in the colours and warmth that we have created for them and seeing the loving, committed people distributing the blankets etc; but sadness too..... wondering what the day to day lives of these vulnerable children is like, whether they are safe when away from the creches, if they have homes, family and food.
Thankfully, the photos are also a reminder of why every square, blanket, hat, handwarmer and toy is so important, as each child will know that somebody cares about them, they will be warmer and have a cuddly toy of their own to love.
