Sorry I've taken so long to get back to you but we've been away. The easiest way to get to the comment wall for the Aussie group is to go to the groups tab (fourth from the right at the top of the page) and then locate the Aussie Group. The wall is immediately below the discussions forum. I hope that helps you.
Hi Lindy,
I was reading some of the earlier postings on the KAS slip-over forum and saw that you wanted a lead re the Oxfam sweater. The patterns were taken over by Guideposts Knit for Kids . If you google the words knit for kids it should come up for you. They have two knitted patterns and one crocheted. They also have a little diagram with basic measurements at various areas of the "sweater".
Another good tank-top are those shown on the warmwoolies.org site - if you look at the May pattern it gives lots of info re child size length, armhole length etc. I used their pattern to come up with the 'plain jane' I knitted.
Hope this has been of some help - Jen
I am the same Heather who used to be a member of the Handknitters Guild. I am now based in Sale in Gippsland and I am enjoying being a member of this virtural knitting community. An additional benefit is catching up with old friends. Say hi to all at the Handknitters for me.
I'm so sorry I accidentally deleted your question out of the "square count" discussion in the Aussie group. So sorry! Anyway you were in the right spot. Kyla wrote a lovely long explanation for you which also disappeared so I'm really sorry for the confusion.
All you need to do is go back there and add your squares to the previous person's tally, for example:
If there are 399 squares
10 hats
8 jumpers
You add your squares (say 20) to make it:
419 squares
10 hats
8 jumpers.
Thanks Lindy, sorry again for accidentally deleting you! x x x
Lovely to have another Ozzie in the forum and especially as it is your first time. I live in the North East Suburbs - Ivanhoe! Anyway welcome and thank you for sharing with us that you are blind, that makes your first ever contribution to this forum particularly important. I have been thinking we should get a Melbourne group together, what do you think? I hope you enjoy being part of the KAS community. Look forward to chatting to you in the forum some time. Sandy

Hello Lindy. I have just joined the Down Under group in KAS and I am having fun seeing who else in Australia is knitting for KAS.
Hello From Tassie
Glad to be of help. The net can be quite frustrating at times I know!
I'm not sure if there is a meeting at CCCK on the 25th or not but I hope you have a wonderful trip. Take care and we'll see you soon x x x
