It has been a wild holiday season. It has been a wild ride being in charge of a youth group. We haven't finished our squares but are getting close. I was beginning to think the girls had lost interest until three of the girls brought in blocks just a week ago. I have rededicated myself to getting us going again. I hope every one had a lovely holiday and are looking forward to a successful new year.
Hi Victoria - you are obviously a good knitting teacher!! Keeping the girls interested is a brillian result. I imagine that they are probably inspiring you now! Keep up the good work.
As for our summer, I do believe we have lost it!! Could you let us have a little bit of yours?
Take care. Angela x
Hi Victoria - good to hear from you and it sounds as though you are doing a brilliant job spreading the word and getting all those young people enthusiastic about learning to knit and helping those who need our support.
We have been down to Hampshire for a few days to see our family. It is always a joy to see them. Now that we are back, I shall have to get myself up-to-date with all the forum news.
Take care, Victoria. Angela x
That's fantastic Victoria! It's been amazing how quickly people have spread the word. Thanks heaps for your contribution, two blankets is brilliant! I'm sewing up my first ever blanket at the moment (actually I'll start tonight) so I'll see how that goes I'm very much an amateur! Keep in touch Victoria, I look forward to seeing more of your squares x x x
Hello Victoria!!!! Yes, living in the desert we can sure get alot of knitting/crocheting done during this heat!!! I will try to post the patterns for the hats this weekend, although they are crochet patterns only. Do ypu do both? Is that a photo of you and your son? How handsome!!! You must be SO PROUD...:) Hugs Lisa
Hi Victoria, thank you so much for your lovely comments. Yes, the pictures of the flowers were taken in my garden - which, at the moment, is not so colourful. The rhododendrons and spirea have now finished until next year and although the foliage is still lush and green, the colour has gone from that corner. I must say that I would miss not having a garden around me. Hope your knitting classes are going well. How did that come about? Angela x
What a "loverly batch of coconuts" oops, squares. They are all really pretty. Isn't this project great? You can use up scraps and really be creative with the squares. And, the Comfort Club Ladies that put the together make works of art out of all our efforts!!! Laurie
Hello Victoria, I am just getting around to finding you all and welcoming you to the KAS community. Hope you enjoy this forum. Also if you are not subscribed to Square Circle, an issue is due out early next week:
