"Didn't see the show, Tom, but just Googled the event and it's the Knitting and Stitching Show, running from 21st to 24th Nov. It's an annual event, has been running for years and seems to be organised by Twisted Thread. Lots more info…"
"Linda - it is Sunday morning, and I have just trawled through the worldwide death, misery and depression that the media likes to call "The News". I then came on here and read your wonderfully uplifting account of the KAS story over the…"
"Terry - if your care home residents have family or friends who visit them, why not have a collecting tin and maybe some info about KAS and the postal charges incurred by the knitting group's effort's for KAS. It might encourage…"

"Am so happy about the paper idea as have just been diagnosed with occipital Neurakgia, a neck complaint that is made worse by knitting! What to do for the KAS kids instead? Provide them with paper! Hooray!"
"Hi all. Someone was looking for "variegated" wool to get a "patchy" effect in a chunky yarn. Have you tried the Sirdar Folksong range? Haven't tried it myself but it looks promising. I love self-patterning yarns but they do…"

"Wilkinsons, and no doubt others, sell packs of mixed colour Bic pens with a few free ones added just before new school terms. They weigh almost nothing and cost virtually nothing to send. Pencils, by comparison, are very heavy and cost much more to…"
Hi Belinda, I will try and find out for you, I only learnt about KAS through collecting my little granddaughter from school and being asked if I could knit some squares. My granddaughter had taken her hat and scarf that I had made for show and tell bless her. I will give the school a ring and find out for you..talk soon
I've just downloaded mine and I didn't have any trouble once I went to the KAS site - the Buy Now button in the email didn't work. After I'd paid I had the option to 'Return to Knit-a-Square page' and after clicking that the link was apparent and tthe calendar downloaded fairly quickly.
I've had a few responses already to my email and will be posting mine out to crocheters. If I were you, I'd do the same! somebody who crochets can whip round a 7" square in a few minutes to upsize it (it would only take one 'lap'!!). I just wanted to get mine out to Jigsaw whilst the offer is still there, save a whole load of postage. Most of my squares are 6" so need two 'laps' !
