Much easier than Fair Isle knitting - I've done a little of that and love the look of it but using two strands together is simpler and has no tension issues. I keep meaning to find a good tutorial and try Double Knitting that you do so well. One of these days ...

Thank you Karla for your comment under  my number squares. I didn't have a pattern so I'm not sure of the best way to help you. I charted out some numbers in Excel (which I could send you if you are able to open Excel). There is an excellent pattern maker called Knitpro Graph Maker  http://www.microrevolt.org/knitPro/ which might be simpler for you. If not I will try and get the patterns to you somehow.

I can do neither intarsia nor Swiss darning - I tried both first and gave up - so all I did was introduce a second colour and use two strands for the motif only. It is a bit patchy and variegated like any 2 strand knitting but it was the best option for me, especially as I was hurrying to get the squares done in time.

If you have a problem charting numbers I'll send you mine somehow although they have a few errors in them  I can't make PFIs on my system but I know someone who can if the worst comes to the worst.

Thank you so much Karla :) I read that a lot of handwarmers are needed and I had a lot of left-over yarn (we always have!!! :) so I made a start making them :)) xo

Thank you Karla for your compliments. I never made a Granny stripe before. It is wonderful to hear that you have been here and that you like Holland. Is it a long time ago that you were here? xo

Hi Karla, your Summer Blanket is now in South Africa !  You can see it in the Blanket Room 2015 on page 8    http://forum.knit-a-square.com/forum/topics/blanket-room-2015?x=1&id=3276523%3ATopic%3A574070&page=8#comments

So exciting to know that our squares and blankets are now being opened after such a long time with the postal strike.
