In 2010 you responded to my use of knitting looms, boards, & rakes saying you had tried them, but it just wasn't your thing. I have been sick pretty much since then (House burned down among other things) and am just starting to be a little functional again. I wondered what you ever did with your looms you said were still new in packages. I lost mine in fire & would be interested in buying yours if they are still no use to you. email me please at bae1990@sbcglobal.net. Btw, you do lovely work. I hope to get back in the party!
Thank you Donna. We are a good group indeed and I am ever so blessed to have such great friends.
I must say that our is not just a group having the pleasure to make a little difference but we do help each other too, as we go through the walks of life, at times not so smooth.
We are true friends.
I will try to add the photo today of the poster we put everywhere from Poole to here. It is very colourful and I cant't wait coming Saturday to to see how the event goes.
Wish me luck!.
Bye for now and thank you
Thank you for your comments on my elephant blanket Donna. I was pleased with this one as it was the first one I have done using DK wool but double strands. I think it will be warm but it was still very soft...and cuddly.
Donna My horses are now sewen on properly by hand. I picked them up in an emporium and they were finger puppets but they didn't work well as puppets so I used them for decoration. They had holes in them for sewing but I don't like the effect of sewing them in the middle really.I have lots more I can use too. They will have holes in them but the effect it there. Don't you love these finds!
Thank you so much for the lovely comment that you left under my crochet square picture. I have struggled for so long to learn crochet having learned to knit as a child. Crochet for me is still very hit and miss and I haven't got a good understanding of it yet but I will persist. I still much prefer to knit but my son, who is 28, wants a 'holey blanket' (a granny square afghan) so I have a goal.
Thank you for your encouragement.
Dear Donna, thank you very much for your comments, there are very talented people in Sisters for all, indeed.
I love your cat Precious, she is so sweet.
Re: Saturday Night Squares - we were all in awe over the orange/yellow square, and decided we needed to find more of this yarn to make purses or something with. It feels even better than it looks! Unfortunately, it was a remnant that was donated to us, and I have no idea where it came from!
Thanks for your kind comments Donna. I enjoy seeing all the lovely hats, etc. you have knit. Isn't it amazing how many people are working together to help the children in S. Africa .
Hi, Donna.......So sorry to hear about the death of your friend. That
is so sad. You have my sympathy. You asked about the cuddle
yarn........yes, the solid and the patterned are both Paton's.........
Hope you are back again soon.
Helen
